Was your computer affected by a virus? If so, it maybe corrupted Norton, so you really need to reinstall it.

However, It could also be some kind of software only playing with your computer. In that case, you can check it online for free at:

http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/default.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym

Using these tools, you can find out if there's software or a virus playing around.

I hope this helps you.

Get your Norton disk out. Then go into the Control Panel and UNINSTALL Norton. After restarting the computer, insert the disk and begin the installation.

Good luck

If u have another provider then un-install norton! The problem will go away then. I have Yahoo and it`s self equipped.
If u just bought a computer then Norton is good for a year? After
that u have to pay for their services. Just depends on who ur internet provider is and what they provide with their services?
