Probably its a side effect of all the different kinds of churches. Then there are the atheists that promote their message as a means of peace (as if they don't argue). The muslims who join in. Not to mention all the different types of people who go to all the different churches. Hey, there's ******* at church too.

Hmmmm......can't say that it happens at all churches, but I have experienced it at one of them that I was a member at. I'm not sure why it happens, but like with all groups, cliques form many times and people get a little petty. I found that at the one church I was at that many of the members had a "Keep up with the Jones" attitude and instead of being happy for your success, they were suspicious and a bit snobby. The current church that I go to is the complete opposite and the people are wonderful and lovely to everyone that comes there. It is a nice change. I think that it just depends on the crowd.

They have forgotten what God said remember. Note after God has finished his work of creation he looked back and said it was Good. Each week we recreate a part of this world and we should follow our makers example and look back over what we have done and corrent it before going forward. Sabbath observance would correct all the worlds proplems if man would just get right with God and his fellow man just once a week. By remembering you are going to have to confess all later in the week one would tend to be better all week long.

The church will never be perfect unless it happens way after I die. The church is a learning environment like this life is a learning environment.

You must be going to the wrong church! Our church is very loving and forgiving of one another. It is a commandment from God to love and serve one another, especially those in the household of faith.

Because just like other organized social groups, there are a few who have no life outside of it because they have awful personalities. They end up taking the organization itself so seriously (not what it stands for, mind you) that they make it impossible for others to enjoy it. It's really aggravating when one old witch can turn a dinner-- for the community homeless!-- upside down because we used too much water to clean ten pounds of apples...

"Church People" are like hungry rats in a cage, no wonder they get mean to their "neighbors".

Claiming to value the 'spiritual", while actually they value the material things in life .. they hate to see someone else live the life that they themselves would wish to live, but claim to hate. .. so, if they "hate the crime" .. then they hate the crime-doer as well.

It's like these people say we should "feed the poor" .. but actually what they really MEAN, is someone else should do it, not actually them, out of their own pocket .. counsel these hungry to go down and sign up for food stamps, Don't give them $75 a week from your own pocket... and if one of their church neighbors said for them to fund this out of their own pocket .. wherwwwwwee, watch the fireworks.

It's one of the signs of false religion, only Jehovah's Witnesses promote unity world wide and love amongst themselves as Jesus said his true disciples would. They also have love for their neighbors. The Bible says about false religions on the other, they have a form of godly devotion but prove false to it's power.

Being religious doesn't make you a better person. People are generally people, though I am biased to think that the religious are somewhat less intelligent, or at least more gullible.
