If you can handle spicy food you can get rid of it in one day. Make a few bowls of chicken soup and add a tablespoon of crushed red pepper to each. It should be hot enough to have you running to the bathroom a couple of times during the night. When you wake up, your cold will be gone. Unfortunately it doesn't work on the flu.

If you have congestion in your chest, then mucinex will help.It is a high powered guaffsein which is the main ingredient in Robitussin.Doc Rx it all the time.It is a little expensive but worth it.It liquefies the secretions and helps you expectorate them. Also fix some hot(as hot as you can stand it) lemon tea with some honey and that helps also.It also is a fact that chicken noodle soup helps cold symptoms. Also drink plenty of water and fruit juices.

Ever hear of Cold FX? Seriously, check it out. Go online first and read what it's about and what people have to say about it. I swear by it now.

To get rid of it quickly, see your doctor. He will know what you need EXACTLY to get it kicked out. If you can't get in, go to your local Pharmacist. I have found that ours at Walgreens is wonderful to listen to symptoms and tell me what she thinks will work best. I am sure that you can get help that way. Get well soon!
