My great-grandfather was a Freemason and his wife, my great-grandmother, was an Eastern Star. I would really love to keep Freemasonry in our family and need some help in this area.

I realize that I would need to actually talk to another Eastern Star, or contact a local chapter, but how do I go about this? Should I go to the actual lodge or should I call?

Also, will they give me instructions on when and how to submit my petition? What do they specifically look for in a member? I know they look for mental, moral and spiritual quality, but that can be quite relative.

Sorry if I seem juvenile by asking so many question. I just want to put my best foot forward.

Both of my parents belong to a french sect (if that's the right word) of freemasonry called la droit humane (sp? I just know it means human rights) that allows people of all religions and also allows women to be real freemasons and not just eastern star. It's something you may want to look into in your area. Google!

Just find a good Christian church to get involved in. Freemasons and Eastern Star groups are contrary to Christian Faith and are cults

The only advice I have is PLEASE DON'T! You want to keep satanism in your family? Eastern Star......what star comes from the East? The SUN. They worship the sun!! I also have family members in this occult group, and they're all running as soon as they get high enough degrees to realize what's going on. Please save yourself from this.
