Why do the well off play on the poor?

Like any other section of society you have selfish and greedy people. Scrooge is a good example in shakespear. There have been many philanthropic people. Carnegie, Bill Gates are examples.

I have been very poor but I worked hard and things changed. I support 'medicine sans frontier' and I send and support directly a child through high school.

If you have your health and have some education it is usually possible to get out of poverty. Some people rely on social services. A poverty trap causes some people not to work. They feel they will lose benefits and not be much better off.

I believe this is also selfishness as this forces people like myself to pay more taxes and less able to help the deserving.

As you go up the ladder of life Never forget those less fortunate. You might be one of them again if you fall off the ladder.

Only the poor in spirit play off the poor.

My opinion is that they think that they are dumb and stupid and then if they do something, the poor person won't be able to sue them in a lawsuit. The rich only know and that is how to get out of paying their taxes and how to prey off of Innocent poor people. Also the poor probably wants to be liked by the rich or the well off person and the well off person says to their self. Hum mm I have me a sap here for the taking. It is the psychology of wanting people to like you and fitting in to the crowd if that makes any sense.that the poor person will do anything and everything just to fit in.

The well off employ the poor and in time the poor can become well off--with some work and good habits.

I don't understand your question....but if you're asking why people who are well off use poor people....most of them don't....a few give the others a really bad name.
