Tell them the first time you meet them that you are really bad about remembering names... then if you do she'll think she must have been special!

I am also terrible with names. What I usually do is at the first meeting let the other person know that I am terrible with names. Another thing is if you are out with some friends, introduce her to some of the people you are with, and work her name into conversations with other people.
When you meet again if you don't remember her name, politely ask for her to remind you of her name. If you remember any conversation or any other details use those to show that the problem is with the name connection not your memory of her.

Well, when you meet someone and there is a REAL connection or if you love them u'll remember their name the moment u meet them. There's something about the name to the personality that makes everything okay. Maybe if your just 'test driving' aka round about dating, just write it down or something.

with every woman you see, what's the first word that comes to mind when you hear her name? whatever word you think of will help you remember her name the next time you see her, hopefully you don't forget about their face.
or, it's a known fact that a certain fragrance can bring back memory, so if you meet up eoth the woman again, remeber her scent along with the name.
usually that's how i remember names and faces.... kinda stupid of me, but it works. ☺

Be honest, and be flattering. Say "I'm sorry, But I'm terrible with names. I know we've meet, and I had a lovely time talking with you, but I can't for the life of me remember your name."
If you have the opportunity to speak first, be funny. Make a grand, sweeping bow and introduce yourself ala cartoon prince charming. She may be amused enough to reply in kind.
Curtsying, not bowing. Unless you're into that.

They shouldn't be upset if you have only met them like once before. How trivial.
Just explain to them that you are really bad with names. Tell them the truth that you remember what the conversation was, and where it was that you met them but that you are just really bad with names.
Unless they are really hung up on themselves or just real *****'s they should understand.

First repeat her name several times during your first encounter, then in your head come up with a silly rhyme for it (Sandy--dandy Sandy taste like Candy).
If it's too late for that and you need her name now...a good conversation to bring up is childhood nicknames. It'll give you enough clues that you can figure out her name.

Just tell her you are horrible with names, theres not really a good way to have her mention her name again unless you bring a friend and have them introduce themselves haha
