We are Mexican women from villages in the southern Mexico state of Guerrero. Our brothers and husbands have left us for work in the US.

We strongly support closing the US-Mexico border to illegal entry. We did not want our men to leave and we want them to return to us.

As we struggle as women, against the difficulty of our situation, we focus all effort on building a business to sustain ourselves and our children.

But we need the help of our husbands and our brothers to re-unite our families and to help us develop economic opportunity in the traditional fashion jewelry production industry that is the heritage of our parents.

Please close the US Border to illegal migration and send our men home to us. Thank you.

Best wishes from Mexico to all persons of good will. We should continue to be friends and respect each other.

You know what, I like you.

I would like to start by saying that I hope your men come back to you very soon. And that you speak better English then about 60% of the US's population. Congratulations!

I would like the same thing as you. We both want the border to be closed, but alas there is a problem. The citizens of Mexico know that they can get across the border. And our government officials really don't give a flying hoot. If smarter people like yourself were the head of your country (no disrespect intended for towards Mr. Fox, but i am not a fan of his) and we had more willing officials on our side. I think our mission could be successful.

Please continue on your quest and good luck to you, your friends, and family in the times to come!

I hear that you are suffering and in pain.
If the men are coming here, can I assume they are coming to get a good job and send money back to you, their women and families.
Are there ways to make money where you are liviing? Can the men make money for a few years, then stay in Mexico and use the money to set up businesses?
Do the men stay in the USA or do they go back to spend some time with their families?
Can you come to the US to be with your husbands? Are they in one place or moving from place to place?
I don't think the border can be closed. Maybe making the economy better in your section of Mexico, then the men would have no reason to leave.

You know, why can't our two great nations work together? We need too really. I have many hispanic friends, some have been here for generations, some are illegal. All of them are hard workers, willing to do what they have to to earn a living and have a chance to better themselves and their families.
There's an answer out there somewheres between closing our borders and helping to provide Mexico with decent, honest wages from American companies and Mexican companies.
I truly feel for those in our southern neighbor that have no future there just as I feel for people here that live in financialy dead areas. Lord knows we have enough poor here of our own.
Maybe the answer is for enough of our factory work to move across the border to Mexico. Yes they wouldn't pay as good as American jobs get, but in time, with unions being started for the workers there, they'd start to increase the pay and benifits. With more people having money other businesses would start up in those areas. Businesses owned by Mexicans.
But wow, looking at the big picture it sure looks like a mountain doesn't it? We just need to start finding ways that we can work together to help eachother out instead of one benifiting more than the other.
Ya'll need more jobs down there and we really do need to lower the price of goods sold here. Seems to me if we're gonna ship jobs out of America they should go to our neighbors first.

I agree that they should go home and be with their families. They should create businesses in their own communities. But it is too easy for them to come here and do the things they can't do at home. All they have to do is send you a little money and they can stay here and play. If they feared losing their wives and children they wouldn't be as likely to do this. You have to stand up to them and tell them you won't take it any more. Tell them if you create the business without them they can not come home. Tell them you will find other husbands. If there are no consequences they will do as they please. Lots of us would help you get them home but our messed up government will not enforce immigration laws.

Yes, I too have a hard time believing this isn't a joke question. My answer is still what I'd tell anybody who is in that situation.

They are working on it. The overflow of illegal immigrants is causing problems here too.

To help the Mexican government needs to work on improving economic conditions in Mexico and erradicating corrupt government officials and police officers.

The woman in Mexico also need to shoot their husbands in the foot if they try to leave.

Yeah right---very suspicious this is not for real. I'm Mexican-American and I highly doubt any Mexican citizen (or their Government)supports closing the border. What would they do--the Mexican Government has nothing to offer its citizens---they cannot support their families working there. Their government is too crooked, their attitude is why not just let the US deal with it, they never have and never will do justice for their own citizens.

You are one who knows that we do not hate Mexico or the people but the time has come to stop people from leaving their own Country and people behind to get to the U.S. the wrong way. I agree, what you need should stay with you.

What a delightful and promising perspective on the issue of illegal immigration. If this is indeed a real post by a person who is not intentionally deceiving us all, then I say, bravo and gracias, mi hermana! Con corazon, Eagle(Aguila)
