Part of the problem is that scriptural Christianity and the lives of people here in America tend to differ. At the root of it, Christianity holds that Christ is superior to man; not equal to man (man is a false god; Gen. 3). All men make mistakes; (for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23).
There is a man-made old testament of Genesis-Malachi, and the scriptural old testament; i.e. the law of Moses. (Per scripture, the old testament was done away; Hebrews). The Jews were told to have two or more witnesses (about three times Deut. 10-20), and the Christians were given the same command (Matt. 18:16, 2 Cor. 13:1). When this concept is applied, one finds the 'old testament' is the law of Moses. My 'two or more witnesses' include Joshua (Joshua 8:31), David (2 Kings 2:3), Solomon (1 Kings 8:9), Nehemiah (Nehemiah 8:1), Daniel (Daniel 9:11-13), Malachi (Malachi 4:4)i, Jesus (Matt. 19:7-9), God the Father (Matt. 17; in effect he backs up whatever Jesus his Son says), and the apostle Paul. (The law is referred to as the old testament (KJV), many other English versions translate it as old covenant in 2 Cor. 3:13-14). Perhaps this is part of why the beast in Revelation 17 is the USA, and the harlot Babylon is the leadership of the USA. (See what happens to the beast and harlot in Revelation 18).

this is because you are ignorant! When a person has something happen to them that is life threating, something that is really bad, or off the scale, the first thing out of their mouth is "OH MY God". Millions of people all over the world are christians for some reason! If you have faith in something, you have a certain amount of christianity. You need to search for answers in your life, not questions. It is not stupid, and you don't know what you are saying, because if you did you wouldn't be saying this.

I am guessing that you are asking, "IS CHRISTIANITY STUPID?" Many years ago I worked in the Baltimore Public School System as a Councilor's Aid. The head was an atheist through and through. We would talk a lot during breaks because I was a seminarian and we liked to pick each others' brain apart. He was good. Out of spite, over spring break, he memorized the entire Bible. He had a true photographic memory! I quizzed him left and right and he really knew it. In the end, he said."I don't believe a word of it...as far as your faith goes. However, for those few who can follow its teachings, especially those of Jesus Christ and Paul, it is by far the best way to live." I was impressed.

No, the religion is not stupid. Some of it's practitioners certainly are! but Christianity, like any other religion/belief, is a path way to spirituality, love, compassion and so on.

So are you enjoying this little vacation called life ? This time you have here on earth is the ONLY time your soul is free from bondage . Like it or not your soul DOES NOT belong to you . You are borrowing it . When you die you will have to give it back to it's rightfull owner , if you don't he throws it in the trash ( hell ) furnace where it can belong to a different owner. He doesn't want back the souls that are damaged from self will. You are nothing but a worthless human. Your soul is the only thing that gives your useless body real life. Believers of the Bible can believe whatever they wish, because they can take any impossible, horrific or stupid statement from the Bible, twist and distort it, then interpret it to say what they wish everyone to believe.

Everything in the Bible is fantasy, but lots of people seem to enjoy the tale.
