You may be suffering from ‘Pityriasis Alba’, a self-limiting condition of unknown cause, which is most common in children aged 3-16 years. It occasionally may occur in adults. There are many ways to treat this condition, although not always successful. I have been advising a simple solution to my patients: apply an antidandruff shampoo not only over your scalp but also over the face and leave it on for 10 minutes before washing it away. Repeat the process once every third and the patches will be gone within 3 weeks. A bit of sunshine and air would help. Besides, you have to control your worries.

I'm assuming you washed the area really well and used an astringent. If so, The only thing you can do is wait for your skin to heal. If you need something faster, go see a dermatologist. Good luck.
