Lying on your stomach is not going to cause heart problems in a healthy person. However, it's not terribly good for your spine or your neck, as it forces you to twist your head to one side or the other. Nobody with lower back pain should lie on their stomach without a pillow underneath their hips to preserve a more neutral spine position (and if you can avoid lying on your back at all, so much the better).

If you have a bad back or neck, lying on your stomach isn't good. I never heard of heart problems though.

I know chiropractors say not to lie on your stomach because of the spine.. but i haven't heard of heart problems due to it.

It's bad for your spine to sleep on your stomach, but I don't know about the heart. Your heart is protected pretty good by your rib cage so I think you will be alright.

No it's not bad.You may want to place a pillow on your stomach though as lying in that position can cause pressure on the genitals (men) and on the breast (women). But just like any lying position, you shouldn't lay in bed in one position for a long time since it will cause skin ulcer.

That is a myth. Lie the way you want. I sleep on my side and my chiropractor told me to sleep on my left side, so my heart would not have to work harder. I think that is a wrong also.
