It's niether.

First religion does not cause any wars at all. All it is is a tool certain people use to get the people behind thier wars.

Power causes some wars, but not even most.

The truth is the number one cause for war is certial peoples idealism. For instance a person thinks there government can make the World a better place by conquering it and making it there way. This is present in every attempt to conquer the World.

Another time you will see this is when 1 country thinks another country is running thier country wrong. This is proven by every U.S. war.

There are a few examples of power, but not many. Again religion is just a tool that people use to get the people behind them.

No there is no difference between greed and power.

It's not religion that causes war. Hitlet was not religious. Its that greed power thing. Same with the middle east.

Religion, greed, and power are the cause for all wars! There is a difference between all 3 words! I'm confident in your ability to find out the difference for yourself! Then you can answer your question with the knowledge you've acquired!

No but it sounds like that is something you are implying with your question. Why not read some history and discover that war has been caused for many reasons and not only what you imply. And of course there is a difference between religion and "greed for power". Honestly, how can you rationally suggest that they are the same?

Despite the robotic answers you are likely to get, droning on mindlessly with babble along the lines of, "yes, religion causes all wars," the evidence easily puts the lie to that.

None of the bloody wars of the bloodiest century ever - the 20th century - had anything to do with religion, either as primary or secondary reasons.

In fact, some of the bloodshed explicitly arose from enlightenment ideas - such as Hitler's eugenics obsession and the communist wars of agression (communists are atheists, BTW.)

Power is what it has always been about, and always will be about. Follow the oil, money, whatever.

Religion is the easy way to justify all their atrocities and the politicians know that majority of masses are ignorant to accept their lies without questioning. The real reason for present time war are the domination of world resources.

At the root of all war is the war between good and evil. All other things are illusions and excuses.

Here is a quote that will answer that Religion is regarded by the common people as true; by the wise as false and by rulers as useful.

Please note the last part....

They are indeed one in the same and are minimally the root cause for all. In some instances it is entirely religion.
