I try to buy as much organic food as possible for my son. I don't think most people realize just how many pestisides are used on crops like grapes, strawberries and apples - prime kid foods. I'm not fanatical, but I definitely prefer to but my produce at farmer's markets (cheaper than the grocery store & fresher too) or stores like Henry's, Wild Oats, & Whole Foods.

I'm a personal chef in LA, and try to make most meals atleast 75% or more organic. Its easy, and clients like thinking they are eating something no one else has. It can be silly .. but organic is better for consumers.

*note: if you are buying "organic" products from a reputable supplier .. There are levels of organic products. YOU have to learn to read the fine print!

No, there are so many chemicals in the food chain, water and soil already that going "organic" is not going to help you much. But it will drain your wallet faster.

It's all marketing. Organic foods are not chemical free, they just don't add more chemicals or use pesticides.

well... organic food is good and healthier than the fruits and vegetables that were grown with pesticides and other chemicals... and even though it's a bit more expensive. though... i really, REALLY like organically grown strawberries. they're really, really good...... :)
