refined sugar from beeds is almost pure sucrose and there is nothing else in it. It has calories but no nutrition. Also - this type of sugar is digested by bacteria on your teeth and from those processes you can get cavities.
Honey - is a mix of a number of various "sugars", fructose, glucose a bit of sucrose and a few others. Furthermore all kinds of remains from the bee-honey production are in there. Some pollen, lots of enzymes and lots of other substances.
Some substances whic are in honey can kill bacteria or they have other benefits.
Our ancestors knew that for a long time and they were using using honey for example in tee to help cure a cold.
And after all - honey has a real good taste. White sugar is pretty boring, only sweet.
Maybe one more remark: The "beter" honey is the one which is the least processed. Meaning - that there was no heat treatment.
Some honeys - for reasons of cheaper production - have been received by mercilyless heating the honeycomb. The heat destroys a lot of the substances in honey and it becomes a "boring" plain mix of sugars.
So the much "healthier" or better honey is the one which is not using heat in prodcution.
You recognize that honey - it will crystalize faster than the other one.

refined sugar has all of the nutrients taken out of during the process. honey is pretty natural and is not processed as much. you could get a better quality honey called Royal Jelly from health food stores that has more nutrients and vitamins than normal honey. it's the food they feed the Queen that makes her live for 7 years. if you have a sweet tooth, eat fruit. for a natural sweetener that is high in fiber, and is healthy, try Stevia as well. you can buy it at health food stores in powder or extract form. good luck.

It isn't. Refined sugar comes from sources other than beets (sugar cane) but the chemical composition is so close there is no practical difference.

For some strange reason this cabi told me, my sister, and my mother that the best way to cure asthsma is to use honey. It worked. This is no lie. I used to be weezy a lot. My sister didn't take the honey and she now still deals with asthma.
Not sure if it works for everyone.
