God made animals before Adam, so I would assume eggs came first. Adam didn't hatch out of an egg, God made him out of dirt.

God didn't create eggs, he created birds. Who knows if the birds laid eggs before Adam was created?

Actually...God created him from the dust of the ground(Genesis 2:7). But the chicken was created before Adam(Gen 1:24-25)! :-) God bless!
