Yes. You are still developing physically and mentally. Your testicles actually are producing hormones that your body needs for this development. Also you may decide later on that you would like to have children. And you wouldn't be able to if you were to get a vasectomy. Use a condom. Don't screw up your life. Look around and see how many of your 17 year old friends are getting vasectomies. Then you will get an idea of whether you should get one or not.

Maybe you should think this out. You never know what you are going to want later in life. This change will affect you forever. Don't do something like this until you are 100% sure of yourself. If you are asking other people, then you are unsure. I don't even know if a doctor would perform this sort of thing without parental consent if you are 17 years old. Just have sex with protection. What's the big deal about that?

But really yes. In most cases they will not do it until you are 28.. but some wait for mid-30s.
In our case he got done because we are done having children. We have 3 daughters and did not wish to have anymore. Then again we are 27...
Better question for you is why you are wanting one at 17yrs old.

Yes, no respectable physician will perform a vasectomy on a 17 year old male.

The answer to your question from a physiological standpoint is "NO, he's not too young." There are circumstances in which a vasectomy might well be indicated but they are pretty rare.

I say like women have to, wait until you are at least 25 or have at least 3 children. At 17 you are not even old enough to vote.

You may meet a great woman and want children. Having children is one of the greatest experiences of life dont cheat your self out of this if you can help it.
