He claimed to be God and He also claimed to the "Gate" by which people must enter to go to heaven. (The Gospel of John) Do you believe He was telling the truth, or was He lying, or was He just plain crazy? Please choose one of the 3.

Well, since these claims only brought him torture and death, I would say he was the son of God.

Let me ask you....
Would you hold true to a lie if you knew you would be killed because of it?

Hello friend,
Jesus, whom I know personally, always told the truth. He will tell you truth too if you only ask Him with a sincere and honest heart. He is eager to meet with you by the way. Check out John 14:21.
No greater love,
2 Tim 2:7

I'm an agnostic but I started reading the Gospels of John. I really dunno if it's the truth. When I was reading I just felt confused and felt like I wasn't sure Jesus was telling the truth or not. It wasn't written by Jesus though so dunno if he really said that or not. I'm so confused. I see why people worship Jesus and say he's the only way to Heaven. I haven't seen anything so far reading it here he claims to be God though.

He was telling the truth...

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

The Greek for verily means truly.

The book is fiction - and even people assuming he really lived must be aware, that all about him was written dozens to hundreds of years later!

There is no written evidence of eye witnesses - and can you imagine what happens to stories when they are told over and over again...?

Start thinking for yourself instead of caring about weird stories that were told to make the people stop thinking (this applies to any religion).

I have to go with 4, sorry: I believe Jesus was a wise man, a good Jewish (Essene) rabbi who, decades after his death, was exploited into a symbol of a new religion created by Paul.

Fictional characters cannot lie or tell the truth. They can't do anything at all because they are not real!!
