It seems odd to me that people say (even anti-illegals) that the blame is on our government or Mexico's government or Large corporations. I am not sure that we should blame anyone. People that come here know what they are doing and do so voluntarily. In my opinion, we need to amend the laws here in the US to allow more immigrants into the US each year and have them be of all social and economic statuses. So why are people still playing the blame game? Lets just fix it.

Imposter, why is this a "stupid" question?

yes naughty angel. I do. Because those that are not employed in the US are that way because they dont want a job! Bottom Line! Go to Monster.com or careerbuilder.com and they ALWAYS have jobs in all cities. Dont tell me that there arent any!

I think it's because everyone agrees on one fact: people from other countries want to emigrate here, because it's a nice place to live (or, at very least, a good place to find employment). And who can blame them for that? We like living here too. There's no point in debating it; they want to get in here, and many will do so whether it's legitimate or not. The question therefore becomes one of, "how can we stop them?"

Keep in mind that, although most immigrants come from mexico, they don't nearly account for all of them. We get plenty from asia and europe too.

I completely agree that we ought to ammend our laws to allow more immigrants, and to put more effort into assimilating them smoothly.

The illegal immigrants should be accountable for their choices, but so should also the corporations that create the situation by paying miniscule wages in other countries, and by paying less than miniumum wage in our country. If we allow more immigrants by a significant number(which is what would need to happen), how will the social and financial culture of our society be changed? Can our country allow any number of immigrants in without any restrictions and still survive?

So even though this country is over crowded and has the highest unemployment rate ever, you think we need to bring in MORE people that are here to take our jobs???
There are not jobs in every city online! Pay attention to facts and dont make up crap to "prove a point". Personally I have a job so I dont know why you felt the urge to ATTACK ME. I was simply stating an issue that is brought up frequently. And I live in texas so yeah alot of them do steal jobs around here that the working man should be doing and they bring down the wages!

Well, mendin8a, it's like this: You go down to your local bookstore, and you can buy a Rand-McNally map of the 50 states for probably about 5-8 dollars. Spread it out on the table.
Look at all the pretty lines on it, especially the one to the south of our country. See how easy that was? You, with 8 bucks and 2 minutes of your time, can easily discern the territorial boundary of the continental United States with Mexico. Too bad Congress doesn't have 8 bucks, or 2 minutes...or their glasses...or their ethics...

It sounds nice but we can't help everyone--it is an impossible thing to do. Nor is it reasonable to expect us to do so. We have to make decisions on what is best for the most of the people here. This is this Country's duty to protect in "all" ways its citizens.
So we don't have to blame but we do have to look at causes of problems. And fix what we are able too. Control helps.

Because for one thing, it's an election year which means everyone is blaming the other party in order to get elected or re-elected. Also, if no one was hiring these people, they wouldn't be coming here. They're coming here for work, so if there was no work for them, they would have no need to come here.

blame may be the wrong word....but since this country was founded we have told the world to send us its poor...its tired....its hungry. we are the shining light in this world...i can't "blame" someone who want's to come here and live the american dream. should it be the legal way...sure..but some people can't live in poverty and watch their children starve waiting on paperwork. the solution is guard the boarder....prosecute employers who break the law...find a way for the one's that are here to stay...fine's back taxes...whatever.

No! They're all to blame. That does not give illegals the right to sneak over here, they are just as much to blame.

Some of them are brought over by large corporations or even small ones to do jobs that they can pay them cheap for and exploit them.
