He should be hungry ever 2.5 hours. I would feed him 3 meals and 3 snacks a day at 2.5 hour intervals. Your sons stomach is only the size of his fist so it gets empty quickly.

Don't worry in the least.
Most kids seem to go through a chubbing up stage before growing. One day they seem a bit chubby, next they are taller and skinny again. Also at 16 months he will be moving a lot and using an awful lot of energy and that means he will be eating a lot of food.
Stick to healthy snacks so do not be tempted to palm him off with chocolate and things and go for fruit instead and don't worry.

Don't feed him too much! And if he's hungry a lot make sure to feed him healthy snacks. The worst thing you can do is let your kid grow up obese, it will be horrible for him.

attempting diverse canines ingredients is making your canines a fussy eater. sure, a healthful canines gained't starve to lack of existence, and a desparate proprietor, attempting to get the canines to eat, is better risky to the canines then merely putting a sturdy high quality kibble with warmth water on it down on the floor in the front of the canines and letting the canines make the alternative. i have had a boarded Schnauzer that develop right into a spoiled little foodstuff brat bypass 10 days previously she determined she had to eat. with suggestions from the time the owner picked her up she develop into eating Purina canines Chow dry and eating each and every mouthful. no longer all dogs are foodstuff a holics and some merely do not look to have a healthful urge for foodstuff. I had 3 difficult Collies and one ate properly and the different 2 ought to bypass 3 days previously determining they were hungry. All were completely healthful. as long as you try eye-catching your canines to eat it is going to stay fussy and situation you to lack of existence.

That's probably about the age when my son started doing the same thing. My doctor said that this will wax and wane - at times, toddlers want to eat all the time, so don't worry about that. At other times, it will seem that they hardly eat anything at all, and you're not to worry about that, either. Just make sure the options are healthy at all times.

My doctor always told me to listen to my son. At that age their little stomachs are just the size of his fist, and if you child is active, then he is burning calories quickly. Feed him, but be mindful of what you give him. It is ok to feed a 16 mo old as often as they ask. He might also just want to taste what you are having and believe me that is great. Dont let him get too picky, let him try it to see if he likes it.

at 16 months he might be going through a growth spurt, but don't feed him whenever he beckens.
have a regular feeding schedule, breakfast , lunch, dinner, but when you give him a snack, make sure its light, like yogurt or cheese or apiece of fruit, and watch his portions of food too.

feed him frequent small meals. he's no doubt going through a growth spurt and it will only last for so long. don't worry about the food, he'll eat what he likes. hot dogs (cut up), mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, yogurt, cheese pizza...and goldfish and pretzles and nuts (provided he has no allergies to nuts) for snacks.

Sounds normal to me.
This is a great time to start introducing foods that you might normally eat. Let him decide how much he wants, he won't overeat unless you start forcing or insisting that he finishes everything on his plate.
Remember thier tummys are still pretty little at this point.
