It's just that I saw this website in which they mention that thier pastry chefs are expertly trained in marzipan rolling. I got curious. Is it something special to be trained in this?

Marzipan is a kind of already made pastry, comes in ready made up pieces. The difference is you un-roll it carefully and then roll it to the desired thickness and size. Half the job is done for you, although Marzipan is pretty fragile and can be fixed by applying a bit of water and working the mistakes out. It's what they use for Wedding Cakes to create a smooth finish, like a wrapped package.

I hope this helps:
How To Roll Out Marzipan
Marzipan is best worked with at room temperature.Always keep the marzipan you are not working with covered, to prevent it from drying out. When rolling out marzipan, do so between wax paper or plastic wrap, or dust work surfaces with confectioners sugar to prevent sticking. After rolling out, use cookie cutters to cut out shapes.

I am not sure what you mean by other rolling, but I roll marzipan and cover cakes before I cover with icing usually chocolate. I use a rolling pin, just like I was rolling out pie dough.
