Dear j.d.

Jesus was not a politician, he was a religious minister as well as a co-star in a famous book known and read throughout the world. I see him walking barefoot in the sand on a beach, crowds engrossed in his words. All the while chanting and singing.....all we are saying.....give peace a chance....amen to the great John Lennon.

To be a Senator, he would have to be a politician. So, I guess he wouldn't be there in the first place. But just for the sake of argument, let's say he was a Senator. I think he would be inclined to be concerned about healthcare, but remember he cured the sick, so in these modern times he would probably run a nationwide charity healing people here and there, and of course leaving the whole medical profession and medical insurance companies out of business. For which of course, those corporations would have him killed. So history repeats itself. And the symbol for his followers would be a cross again (only this time, a red cross maybe?).

Well, one projected version of the ego Jesus would argue against flag burning, kill the homosexuals, kill abortion doctors, and piss on the immigrants. Another version of a projected ego Jesus would maybe just go around pointing a nasty finger at the homosexuals and the flag burners and then grin and say they were going to hell. The real Jesus would be pure love and would not do anything that supported our identity as this individual body and consciousness.

Fight for nationwide healthcare. The flag is just an object, and i am sure that he would put the care of people above objects

He might suggest that a million Christian Mexican immigrants carry an American flag to the Capitol in one hand and their weekly paycheck (showing tax deductions) in the other. The checks could be used as premiums in your new health care insurance fund.

If this effort of passive civil disobedience results in a million arrests, they could use the flags for blankets in the very overcrowded jail, and the checks for bail money.

When they leave the Capitol, the jailers will have to worry about what to do with the flags; burn them? Bury them? Ignore them?

Render unto Caesar...

nationwide healthcare; if one believes in christian values, I would think caring for the masses is more important than respecting a flag that represents so many negative things

Maybe he wouldn't do either. He probably would not be reelected to a 2nd term in most regions, because He is so extreme. He speaks the truth and doesn't care what people think. He doesn't play political games.
Maybe He would use his position to teach people not to look to the government to meet all their needs but to look to God and live in such a way that they can be blessed by Him. He would also teach us to look out for others' needs and not be selfish.

Neither. He'd take a horsewhip to both sides of the Senate.

If Jesus lives in a person's heart they can fight the fight for Him.
I'm pretty sure he doesn't live in your heart or you would not let your butt shine in that pic. .
