Aright, let's get down to business. I am a 13 almost 14 year old home schooled girl. I am taking 9th grade courses, but I am only suppose to be in 8th. But we talked to our main school, and they said that I could skip 8th and go straight to 9th (I am a very good student and my grade are awesome). So I am a 9th grader. Making me a Freshman.

Now that I told you that I can tell you my question. My dad does not want to let me play high school hockey because I am only an 8th grader. News flash dad: I am a freshman now. And I do not want to miss my freshman year of hockey. No way. I am going to play all four years of high school. Weather he likes it or not. But I need to persuade him to let me play. I was thinking about an eassy since that will help him remember that I am a over average student. What are some key points I should state????? I really, really need your help. Because I am going to play even though I am the only girl.

I am not going back to public school. I am staying home schooled. And yes even though I am home schooled I can still play high school hockey.

I think that if you really want to play hockey and love it so much you could always play the scholarship points. If you are as good at that as you are a student. Just make sure that you don't take on too much at once. Skipping a grade, going into public school from being a homeschooler, then taking on hockey with older people. Make sure that you convey to your father that you will continue all the chores and activities that you do now and that you will let him know if it is interfering with those other responsibilities. Let him know that you will continue to keep your grades high. Also, remind him there are studies have shown that classical music and exercise are 2 things, other reading and studying, that also stimulate the mind. What a perfect way to stimulate your body, and mind, than playing a sport that you love...hockey. Remind him that he will always think of you as his "little girl" but the reality of it that you are growing into a young lady. Tell him of your desires of playing hockey, why you want to and what your plan is. Let him know that this is something that you have been thinking about for a while. I think that this essay idea of yours is excellent. When you present it to him, hopefully, he'll think that you have put alot of thought into it and, not to mention, gone through the trouble of putting down on paper your carefully thought out essay. I think that it would force him to think of you as a young lady which he may not be ready for. Next thing you know, he'll start thinking about you dating and him buying a shotgun watching you when the kid brings you home. LOL! Just kidding. Best wishes on getting on the hockey team and take care.

-state why you want to do it
-how much it means to you
-why he should let you do it (good grades, good daughter, you do your chores, homework)
-state you want to do it to make new friends since you are homeschooled
- thats all you can really say is let him know your feelings on it
and if the essay doesnt work i would try
-showing him besides an essay what you do (do more chores, help out more, show better school work all the time)
-talk to him face to face ( sometimes the best way to get what you want is to talk to someone one on one in person)

hope you get what you want!

Senior High college is the specific identical factor as High college, simply a further title. Like in my the town now we have Austin Senior top (top college) and Austin junior top (center college).

Congratulations and good luck in your transition to public school. Please listen to your father's advice and give yourself time to adjust to the environment of public high school. You will experience much less stress both academically and socially.
