global warming is a big beal, it threatens the entire earth, someone once told me that if something were to have the earth in danger it would be all over the news. Is it just our country's lack of care?

No, it's still not clearly understood if this warming is caused by man's burning of fossil fuels, or possibly our own Sun heating up, or even internal geothermal forces at work. At any rate, if the fact that global warming is taking place is beginning to be accepted, what is not generally agreed upon is the cause of this warming. The other question, whether or not this global warming is actually a threat to all life on the Earth, or merely a cyclical event that will sooner or later be mitigated by natural forces, remains a topic of deep debate. It's all very well to run around screaming about the end of the world and the sky is falling and so forth, but getting the Americans to give up their SUV's and getting China to give up burning coal in its factories, well that's not really happening now, is it?

Whoa there, maintain your horses, friend. Go again and browse the object (the NASA one, no longer the correct-wing weblog). It does not say some thing like that. Here is essentially the most pertinent paragraph: Morison counseled that at the same time the latest decadal-scale alterations within the move of the Arctic Ocean would possibly not look to be immediately tied to international warming, such a lot local weather units are expecting the Arctic Oscillation will end up much more strongly counterclockwise at some point. "The parties of the Nineteen Nineties might good be a preview of ways the Arctic will reply over longer intervals of time in a warming global," he mentioned. This under no circumstances ends up in the belief that "Carbon Dioxide isn't the cause for the difference in climate styles", as you set it. It effortlessly suggests that alterations in arctic ocean move in most cases were not as a result of international warming. In reality, the NASA scientist concludes that this final result might end up more potent at some point as a result of international warming.

Are you kidding? It's all over the news. During the summer, when it gets hot, believe it or not people blame global warming on the temperatures! "OMG it's July and it's 95 degrees! We are killing this Earth!"

I'll have to shut off my TV permanently during Hurricane season, I don't even want to know how much they're going blame on global warming.

Don't watch the news to get your info though. Read both sides of the issue. There are plently of papers published online that present both sides of the argument (i.e. whether or not Global warming is caused by humans). Make up your own mind.

Because it's already all over the news and it's being made a bigger deal then needs to be made. I think it's very narrow minded to think that humans could destroy the world that's been around millions of years. Should we always be looking for cleaner ways to do things? sure........but we don't need to stop the world for it. If it bothers you so much, go buy an electric car (which still pollutes because you have to charge it using power from a coal or nuclear power plant) and turn off your lights and AC. People always complain about the environment but they want others to do something about it.

Well the conservatives dont like to acknowledge the issue because rules that protect the environment tend to limit the huge profits of corporations. And the news media is very conservative (despite what the conservatives will tell you). If the media was liberal for example, you'd be seeing the flag-draped coffins coming back from Iraq every night on the news.

You are definitely not looking at the news closely. I see it in the arctic patterns and wildlife immigration. I see it in the extreme weather patterns happening around the world. I see it in the things that are disappearing or shifting such as lakes or arctic ice walls. Over this past year, I could have made one heck of a scrapbook on stories that all link together to form a broad picture of disaster.

For one thing....Global Warming is effecting the earth..but people are saying "leave it for the people in the future to worry about it." It's not all over the news because its not our problem now.

People are just hoping that it is a myth. Most Scientists make big mistakes about predicting the Future and stuff like that based on mathematic calculations and most people because of that reason will refuse to believe. or wont do it anything about it untill it starts to Heart the wallet or thier purse (For example jacked up Fuel prices because of the war on terror makes most people care about being more Fuel-Efficient.)

because like so many other things it is blown out of porportion. If we listened to the all the professional worriers we'd have no fish in our oceans or lakes no water to drink and the air we breathe would be uninhabitable. The same type of people who worried about that in the 60's or 70's.

What news do you watch, it is everywhere. Can't go a minute without seeing Algore babbling on about it. Even the Discovery Channel just had a 2 hour episode on it.
