I've been seeing this girl for about 3 months. She has a 5 year old daughter from a previous marriage. She has actually been married twive before and both have failed. I asked her to take our relationship to the next level. She said she has been praying about it and doesn't know yet. She said it's not me, it's what she's been through in the past, so she is taking it really slowly. What do you think? Is there really still possibility here between us, or is she trying to be nice and say there's no future?

There is a relationship and its the reason she cares about you that she wants to take it slow. Lots of times after being hurt or feeling that you "failed" at something (such as a marriage) you want to try and do it right and take your time. If you love her, don't give up on her. good luck.

A three month old relationship is still very young. It's never that easy for a girl to move on to the next level if she think she has been seriously hurt in the past. I think she is interested in you but afraid to edge forward. Have patience and pamper her to the next level. If however, you don't see any changes coming forward then you may need to move on because she might just be throwing a very long pity party and not realize that you are really interested.

Keep in mind that 3 months is just a blink in the great big scheme of things, and if she's been hurt before, it could take awhile for her to work herself up to taking another risk with her child- and her heart. Hang in there, give it time. Try not to overanalyze. This seems like a smart woman who is really getting to know herself. When she's ready, she'll let you know.

i totally agree with her for wanting to take things slowly. you need to take a step back and not rush into things, especially if there is a child involved and she has 2 failed marriages behind her. she probably is scared it won't work out. that doesn't mean she isn't interested, she is just being adult about it. if she wants to take things slowly, thats a good sign, it means she wants it to work out. believe me, if she didn't want you she would tell you!

You have to give her time to gain trust in you..she has been hurt twice before and has put up a barrier to protect herself and her daughter,slowly she will lower it as she learns to trust you and know you wont hurt her emotionally,give her time and treat her right but don't go overboard and try to drown her with your affections..good luck.

there might be a possibility still.just give it sometime.cause one day she will come around and want to take it to the next level. just let her be the one to make that decision though. don't keep asking her to do it.

hun she's just scared that she's gonna get hurt and she doesn't want to hurt her daughter either there's enough hurt for both of them so far.. so take it slow for her if you really love her....
