Ussualy to do this you will need some sort of optical character recognition (ocr) software to actually scan the content instead of the image of the document. Then you can edit the resulting text.

verify the cd of your scanner. each and every scanner comes with an OCR (Optical character popularity) utility. This basically can convert the scanned internet site right into a be conscious record...OCR utility's at the instant are not suitable, yet they are solid adequate to get the activity accomplished. as quickly as switched over to a be conscious report you may especially plenty do something with it.

Use a scanner with OCR--you can choose to open it in Word. Be sure to proofread it carefully--OCR is not always perfect. Click on any stray marks and cut them. Now you can edit to your heart's content!

if you have microsoft word just set your scanner settings to go directly into word after it is done scanning.
