No thats a great accomplishment!!!! Don't follow the crowd, you do you!!!!! Just because they are not virgins don't listen and stick with the way you are going, when the time is right then you can worry about that!! That to me is much to young to be having sex, they just either started high school or in the 8th grade, and that is way to young!!!! You wait and keep waiting to you find the perfect person!!!!

No it's not weird and good for you!!!! Yes I was still a virgin at 14. I was a virgin until I was 17 and I still wish I would have waited longer because the first time I had sex I got pregnant! Some of the youth now think that sex is a game. It's called STD roulette because they don't know how to protect themselves. Some STD's will stay with you for the rest of your life. There are kids as young as 9 having sex. There was a little girl here that was 11 and pregnant. NOT COOL!!!!

It is weird to have sex at 14! Not everyone is doing it, but lots are saying they are so that they won't be thought of as weird. So it is tragic when a young person thinks that they should because they think most others are - and it's not true. See how silly that is. I know that many many people regret that they started before they had a good grasp on themselves. I never hear of anyone regretting waiting for the right time.
....for me personally, I began at 19 because I thought surely everyone else was already being sexual and I was shy and thought it might be my only chance. Very low self esteem. I regret it. I was too immature at that time and got taken advantage of.
Good sex is for adults. There are many reasons for this that a still developing mind cannot even yet grasp. It is so worth it to wait. You don't need to worry about it. You have a long adulthood ahead of you. Time seems long now but it really isn't. You will know when the time is right for you and it will be greatly more fantastic because you're ready and mature.

It is wierd NOT to be a virgin at 14.
You're just too young to have sex at age 14, not mature enough to handle the responsibilities that come with it. Say the girl gets pregnant, who is going to take care of everything?
I'm only 19, and no, I'm not conservative. Not saying that you need to wait until you get married, I didn't. I'm not married.
Remember that sex is more than just 'sex'. You need to truly respect your partner(s), and have a true relationship with them. Can they count on you? Do they trust you?
Once you have all this, you will have the *best* sexual life ever. Don't trade it for some random sex here and there.
Oh and remember, later on you might find some girls who are still virgin (you will, most likely). Sex is so much better (in my opinion) when both people are learning the ropes together, rather than have one person be way more experienced than the other, or have both be really experienced.
Also, try this page http://teenadvice.about.com/
just so you prepare yourself for "some things" :-)
Good luck sweetie,

When it comes to sex, there are too many double-standards. If someone has sex with a minor, that makes them a pedophile but somehow its ok for a minor to have sex with another minor- Or at least if we think that it ISN'T ok, people will still say that there is something wrong with being a virgin at age 18 and beyond. And so if you get involved with heavy petting prior to age 18, does that make you a molester? Or are you a molester AFTER age 18?
So society says that its not cool to be a virgin at 14 yet its not cool to be a pedophile either. And society also says that its not cool to take a girl out and not try to feel under her dress, yet at the same time its not cool to molest children.

No it's not weird. Stay a virgin as long as possible!! I'm 18 and I have been with my boyfriend for 6 months and I've stayed a virgin and I am very proud of it. And I am going to continue being a virgin. Wait until you met the right girl.

no, it's not weird. These days it's a badge of courage. You should be proud of yourself. Sex is for marriage regardless of what your friends say. Look at the postings here. . . girls at 14 having babies, guys becoming fathers. . . and they're still YOUNG teenagers. What happens to their life. It goes down the toilet. No more dating. No extra cirricular activities. Just work, work, work to pay for a baby. Many don't graduate, many will never get more than a minimum wage job. We won't talk about the guilt, the pain, the heartache, the disappointment of their parents and grandparents, the criticism of society, and having your friends desert you.
Is sex worth that? I don't think so. I was a virgin (male) until I met my wife at age 19 and we got married. Was I glad? You bet. Was it special. Yeah and I would change only one thing. I would have gotten married later because I wasn't ready to be married at even 19. I should have waited until 25 or later (and yes, I would have been willing to keep my virginity until then).
Don't give in to stupidity or hormones or ego. Wait. . . you'll be glad you did.

I was a virgin until I graduated high school at 17 - and even then it wasn't anything more than just kind of poking around. I guess I turned 18 before I really had sex for the first time.
For me, I thought it was foolish to do anything with the kids in high school, unless I wanted the whole world to know about it the next day - so I waited until that was not an issue any more.
Peace!

What are you serious? sex at 14? I didn't know what it was until I was 15! And no, it's not wierd...don't let peer pressure get you, being a virgin is something you should be proud of, not ashamed of. I'm going on 18 and still a virgin (my boyfriend is 20 and still a virgin). Nothing's wrong with keeping your virginity.
