I wondered about this many times. Why, if women find men so difficult, do they raise their sons to be the same way? Then the next generation does the same thing. Some of male behavior is nature, but a great deal is nurture, my brother was brought up by a passive aggressive controlling woman and his wife, with the same charactersitics, uses the same tactics to keep hubby under her thumb.

That is probably one of the stupidest questions I have ever heard in my life. So what you are saying is that women should have the right to CHANGE her man? Who needs the backbone here? Let me tell you, as a woman I too am tired of hearing women complain about men helping out. But there is only one problem - the woman should NOT be changing anyone but herself. If she is complaining, then she is with the wrong man. Period. It's people that think like you that keep the huge rift between men and women. No one should be forced to change - what is it with people getting into relationships and acting like that that's the last person they're ever going to get? Wake up - take time to find the RIGHT person, not to make someone who is with you into what you want them to be.

Pardon you but women do not bring up sons to be grown men all by themselves...the man also has to play a part in the son's life as well so do not dare blame it on the woman...men play a part too. If "some" men would be better role models for the boys then maybe women would not complain so much about how men are.

Women do not bring up men to behave that way. We try to train you to respect women and to be more compassionate. When you get old enough to go to school you throw all that out of the window. You yield to peer pressure and "do" an ugly girl on a dare or for money. Or you will hit her to get your way or if she questions you. Your father hit your mother so it is the only thing you know. You lie and cheat and steal to serve your purpose. You teach your sons to do the same. Never to cry in front of anyone because it is either gay or weak. You do this to yourselves. That is why we complain. We want to love you but you push us away and make us regret the day God created you.

That's not necessarily true at all! Some men are brought up by their dads! AND just for the record, males are prone to having a 'father-figure' in which they imitate and try to be like! There are also other influences on a person whilst they are growing up, like their friends! So you can't put the balme on your mum becuase to be honest, men only really imitate other men.

You know, there comes a time when you have to take responsibility for YOUR actions, instead of blaming it on how you were raised. Every person has something that their parents probably did that wasn't right, no matter how big or small, but to blame all your problems on them isn't fair. You are an adult, YOU are responsible for YOUR actions, no one else. Life is all about change, you will never grow in life unless you learn to adapt to that change and improve your life. You can't do that if you are blaming your mom for everything. Be a man!

you're absolutely right to ask and i think you should go public with this one... mothers are entirely responsible for how men turn out!!!! unfortunately they aren't the ones complaining :)
but then men having recognised this, surely it can no longer be used as an excuse... you're an adult, free to make your own decisions, and if you accept there is something wrong with the way you are, then surely it is up to you to change, not just point the finger at someone else?

you've answered your own question. because we raise the boy that becomes the man, and whatever way we raised that son he always does the opposite.
My son does every thing I taught him not to, so women look for the rebel in the men?

most guys do not treat women the way their mothers taught them to. i know my brothers werent brought up to be the way they are...they get it from their mates and god only knows where they get it from.
are you saying you're mum taught you the way you act with women!?
generally the "you're the man" attitude comes from the father

You can't always choose what you get - if we could the world would be populated by women (the occasional man would be bred for the sole purpose of producing sperm for the sperm bank)!
