I have south asian light skin which darkened significantly over this summer. Please tell how I can get rid off the tan and prevent further tan. I use sunblock SPF30, exfloiate, use milk, lemon juice etc. I heard Lakme has a cream with TPI (tan protection index). Does anyone know where i can buy it in london.

I don't know, but maybe you should just try staying out of the sun. :)

Theres a really high sunblock P60 (most chemists stock it) thats really good, also I'd stick to long sleeves, long skirts and hats in the sun, there's some lovely light stuff around at the moment which will keep you cool and help you not tan.

Other than that, just try to keep out of the sun. They do say you shouldn't take baths if you want to keep your tan, but I think you'll have to wait a while for it to fade naturally.

You can't lighten a tan, only time and staying out of the sun will do that, and that will take months. Use a high spf sunblock..50 or higher, and use hats and long sleeves.

You no doubt have beautiful skin; I would give my right arm to be able to tan; I have an alergy to the sun which makes me come up with itchy rashes whenever the sun touches me. I use fake tan to look yellow, be greatful for what god has given you... However; you can get factor 60, total sun block but don't bleach your skin as it can be very damaging, wait till it fades naturally.

Sunblock DOES NOT WORK if you rub it in till it dissapears. There has to be a visable layer on your body.

Most people aren't willing to walk about with a sticky layer all over them ... , the only answer is to wear clothes that cover the skin .. or use zinc sun block.
