Spending money on your child is never a waste. I have two girls and i can easily spend 2-300 on each of them and not feel lousy about it because i know they are happy and they have things they need. My oldest is starting Pre-K this year also and I spent 400 on her. That includes her supplies, clothes, shoes, ect. I shop at walmart right now because they are so young and they go through clothes like candy, so with 350 dollars I bought alot of cute clothes. I wont have to buy her anymore until winter comes. I never spend money on myself because I feel guilty when I do, but spending money on my girls makes me and them happy.

If you spent 300 on mostly clothes or shoes, for pre-K I would say you went overboard. My sister just spent 120 dollars on school supplies for my six year old niece so she's saving money by buying most of her clothes at thrift stores around here. (she's been finding Gap, Limited 2, The Children's Place, etc). For young children, especially pre-k, your right about wasting money when you spend that much. He doesn't care right now about his clothes and shoes as much as you do. He'd probably want a Thomas the Tank Engine pair of shoes over a pair of New Balances...Even though I'm just guessing what you spent it on, my point is the same. Save all that money for something you really need to spend it on, like Christmas!

what do u mean wasted 300 on him. whenit comes to ur childed u can not waste money on them anything u get for them there is normaly a reason cause thay need it thay are young and need alot. but as in spending 300 on him what did u get for him. depends on what u got. on if it was to much or not.. and pre-k is a waste of time and money. id rather teach my child myself when it comes to what pre-k teaches u its worthless basicly

try going shopping at walmart and buy store brands instead of name brands thay look the same for more than 1/2 the price. u need a budget on what to buy and how much to spend

wasted? How can you possibly think spending money on your child is wasting it? There is no limit to how the amount of money a parent spends on their child! How much money did you spend on diapers when he was a baby? Was that a waste too?

Well money shouldn't be an option on your child's education, but of course some of us can't afford it. But anyways I spent 320$ a month on my daughter's Preschool, so I'd say thats a pretty good price. You might want to also check at near by Elementary Schools to see if they have Pre-K programs at their school campus.

attempt placing some after college play dates. each and every so often while the youngsters are faraway from the faculty environment this is greater handy for them to bond. Then supply him it slow if that's a clean adventure for him it ought to take him it slow to conform with each and all of the youngsters. I instruct pre-ok and that i've got considered little ones take in to a month to get comfortable with the youngsters and the ambience. solid success

Absolutely not. Theres no limit for your children. As long as you teach them to value things and you can afford to do so, especially when it comes to their education -- than by all means spend!! I was very excited when my daughter was starting K and I spent over $400. Most of that was in clothes as the materials she needed werent too much. But she was scared and excited and I wanted her to feel as comfortable as possible. Even if that meant buying two lunchboxes! :)

you shouldn't call it wasted money, because he's you son. Think of it as money for his education. There is no limit on how much to spend on your child, as long as your not spoiling them rotten.

What did you spend the money on??? Clothes, supplies, shoes?? If that is the case and you have the money to spend.......go for it. If you are barely getting by and you bought things that really aren't necessary for school.......you might have gone a bit overboard for his grade level.

How can you waste money on your child? That is so lame. That is your child and spending money on them for school or whatever their needs are is not considered waste.

When you say that you wasted money on your child you are saying that you feel obligated to spend money on your child not dedicated. I am very well dedicated on spending money for my kids...I buy for them more than I do myself...because they are my kids.
