I use mousse. Finesse or Dove for soft scrunchy curls, and anything with extra or super hold for hard gel-like curls. I take my showers at night, and just squeeze excess water from my hair, (don't towel dry) then brush & part hair, put a whole monster amount of mousse on, totally saturate it, flip your head upside down and scrunch with your hands.

If you want more defined curls, then take your finger and separate your hair into five or six layers from the top of your head to your neck before you put mousse on, then saturate the layers, so it looks like you have layers of curls.

I usually do this process an hour or two before I go to bed, so my hairs still dampish wet when i lay down. So then I lay on my back and scrunch my hair again, then lie on my pillow so it's stuck in that position through the night.

It ends up looking like Peyton's hair (from one tree hill), but I have naturally curly hair, if you want to see kinda what mine looks like, look at my what's my nationality question.

This is a ridiculous answer.. I didn't expect it to go this long! haha

dove mousse its great and gives u body but it doesnt look all gross like gel and start to crack oh and do it when ur hair is wet but not soaking like after u get in the shower wrap ur hair in a towel for 5 minutes and then its perfect time and once you put the mousse in you should get a bunch of clips andut ur hair up in section with them so they stay scrunched and leave that in til ur done getting ready so ur curlsremain perfect

I ADORE John Frieda Dream Curls. It's the best stuff EVER! It doesn't make your hair crunchy and it holds all day, fights frizz, and it's just amazing.
You can spray it on wet or dry hair. Flip your head upside down and scrunch. VOILA!

use any strong hold gel and just use your hands to "scrunch" it. it has to be wet. then you use a special flat blowdryer to scrunch it and hold the blower on it while it is scrunched at the top of your head. use BIGSEXYHAIR spray to hold it down. it does miracles.
