He needs to check his eye relief (the distance from his eye to the scope). The scope rings may have to be loosed and then he'll have to slide the scope either close of farther away from his eye to make it clear. Unless of course if he has Weaver mounts on his scope, with those it may be easier to loosen those and slide the scope, and rings together. That's how you focus it. If you meant how does he "zero it in" or "site it in", he'll need to remove the lateral, and long. adjustment covers and twist the dial in the direction it needs to go.

I'm going out on a limb here and make a wild guess that you don't know a lot about firearms. And, that you may not know the difference between a "BB" gun and a "Pellet" Rifle? . If, your boyfriend has a spring piston pellet rifle and he didn't mount an air rifle scope, he probable has ruined the scope.. Spring piston air rifles require a specialized scope built especially for them...

loosen the lock ring on eye piece then screw in or out to focus.if scope was removed from mounts then put back in,,,loosen screws so scope can be slid back and forth. set it so cross hairs are bold and clear by sliding it in direction needed.trail n error till distance from eye to scope is correct.

certainly, i visit grant you yet another answer than maximum folk. i've got faith a BB gun is safer on account that human beings admire a BB gun greater advantageous on account that the it will probable do greater harm. whilst an airsoft gun does not look like it may do countless harm persons do not "savour" it and can desire to shoot their eye or something of the form.
