Help with installing directx?

Question

I had to replace my hard drive but I had no windows program to install. A friend of mine was kind enough to let me use his but now I got this problem playing games cause its ask to install the latest version of directx but Microsoft has to scan and verify that I have a genuine copy of widows . is there a way besides buying my own copy of windows to install directx without Microsoft verifying my copy of windows. I will eventually buy it but right now I'm kind of strap for cash at the moment and I just want to play my game thank all in advance for helping me out

I have the same problem.The games I have run required "d3dx9_27.dll" which dxsetup9.0c didn't install.So I type d3dx9_27.dll on yahoo and download from some site.Copy it to system32 folder.All other parts of newest DirectX you can download from internet.Try it.You may resolve it.

OK, what you can do is (using the torrent system) is download a WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) crack. This may or may not allow you to use windows update to install DirectX.

The above seems like a reliable torrent. So, now what you do is download a client like BitTornado or Azureus. After that, I expect you do know how to use torrents. If you don't, just post the additional details and I will explain more.

Directx9 must be executed, upon which it will extract to a driectory which you need to decide on to create. I regularly prefer c:directx9 so it's apparent in the event you promote the laptop and to you 6 months later. From my expertise, directx9 works fine with a video *card*, rather than integrated pics, but it'll work with integrated pix. You then run c:dirrectx9dxsetup.Exe via looking in My pc and double clicking dxsetup. Microsoft could have made this simpler...
