I'm not talking straight from the cow here. I mean milk that's been pasturized and bought from the grocery store. Thanks!

I freeze mine all the time. I normally keep it up to six months and have it be fine. I have not tried longer that. We go through about 5 gallons a week, so when its on sale we stock up and keep it in the deep freezer. Once thawed it will keep for about a week, more or less depending on its age when frozen.

No, dont do it. My Grandma did this, and the instant she took it out of the freezer, it went bad. She did this all the time, I dont know why she didnt learn. I lived with her for a few months, and I never got to eat cereal!!!! Its weird, its like the milk realizes that its past its expiration date and instantly goes bad. If you are planning to cook with it immediately upon thawing it, then its probably ok, but not for drinking.

I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to freeze the milk you buy in a store...I could be wrong though...

added...wouldn't it go bad soon after you take it out of the freezer?

Freezing milk alters it's taste and makes it go bad almost immediately after thawing!

I've never heard of freezing store-bought milk. That sounds gross.

i don't think it is a good idea to freeze your milk. i have never heard of it being done. . . anywhere. i don't think anything good can come from freezing it.

About 3 months at the most, and then it needs to be tossed.
