Theravadan nirvana is the absence of unpleasant states of mind and their causes. So you pretty much know. Mahayana Buddhahood is lower nirvana plus the removal of all obscurations to knowledge (omniscience). So you know that for sure.
In essence, you aren't enlightened if you wonder whether or not you are.

More serious answer - Enlightenment to me is realizing who is really in control of all creation, past, present, future, then accepting and being at peace with that fact.
