I suffer with a panic disorder for 5 years, when i am nervous at home i swallow air repeatedly, i then push this air out and burp deliberaltely, this is worse at night before i fall asleep, its like a nervous tick and its causing me alot of hassle. i know this sounds crazy but i just cant stop it.

You could try taking a few Yoga classes and learning to breathe deeply. If you learn to breathe correctly, you can cure yourself of almost anything.
Make sure the Yoga Class you take specialises in breathing excercises, I believe it is Hatha Yoga. At least ten minutes of your hour should be given to learning how to breathe. Good luck!

This sounds like "obsessive compulsive disorder". People suffering from OCD usually have to do certain "rituals", much like the one you've described. Unless they do these rituals, their enxiety will not be relieved. Please see your doctor because early treatment is best. I'm a medical student and I've seen several of these cases. I'm glad you're taking the first steps to treatment.

sounds like hyperventilating from the panic disorder. could be a medicine or chang of medication might help. maybe a sleep aid. does not sound like a true nervous tic.

that's funny. sorry never heard of it. But I one kneo someone who would do that alot, but i never knew that it was just a nervous tick. Just thought they were doing it for their own amusement.

i would see the Dr maybe they can give you something to help
