I love the sentiment, but I think that you'll find that in practice it's more difficult. For example, take the stem cell issue. I think that the "love one another and let live" sentiment tells us to improve government funding for stem cell research. But at the same time it's clear that many well-meaning people think that "love one another and let live" implies that we have to ban stem cell research. Similar problems arise with respect to abortion, gay marriage, gun ownership, taxation, the Middle East, the environment, and many other issues. How should one behave if one's motto is "love one another and let live"? I doubt that there's much concensus.

Look very carefully in the world and see who is preaching and teaching hate and intolerance. I am not talking about cultures or nationalities, think classes or occupations. There you will find your answer.
Most people of all nationalities and cultures are able to get along with their neighbours just fine without any help.

Because we each have different values, morals, creeds and beliefs...There are bound to be arguments, dislikes, hate and killing. It's the way of the world, nothing has changed since the beginning, we just have better media coverage now adays.

It is easier to hate someone than to love them and considering humanities obsession with laziness... well, that spells it out. I agree... the world is heading to a darker place... and it seems that love and trust is in short supply. Instead of declaring who is wrong and who is right... people should just accept one another and allow life to go on. Instead... we got major drama going on... and I think it will only get worse.

Some of us are deeply troubled by this and are praying to whomever we believe in. This world has definitely gone to pieces but how can we control the entire world when many of us can't even control our children?

I don't hate anyone. Loving everyone is much easier said than done. There will always be those who hate, for whatever reason, and there is no definite answer to the question.

That question has been asked for centuries.. Is usually caused by holy war or repression... this time it is both.. only the repressors are not the civilized societies. Modern civilization is the one to be repressed.

Thats not news; man have been fighting each other from creation. However, it's not as bad as you think; there's tons of love all around you. Enjoy it and return some of it.

Some humans are born with hatred filled in them. Some of the humans have this hatred because they are not very well educated. Some of the humans grow up learning this hatred from their elders.
