. . . it's sweet choccy flavoured crap and is no substitute for the real thing - Peanut Butter, the best aphrodisiac known to mankind (well, at least in Maryland) . . .

Nutella to Italians is what peanut butter is to Americans. We use peanut butter; Italians use Nutella. That's the only comparable thing. As far as taste, if you love chocolate like I do, I would pick Nutella over peanut butter anytime. It's great on toasted bread, on ice cream, as a chocolate sauce, I even put a little in my brownie batter for that extra richness and slight hazelnut flavor.

Nutella is a hazelnut-nougat spread with chocolate (main ingredients: sugar, oil, hazelnuts, cocoa, skim milk) it's originally from italy, first produced in 1951 and it worldwide outsells all brands of peanut butter combined. it's especially popular in europe, australia and brazil and probably the most delicious sweet spread you can have on buttered white toast....

It's a hazelnut and chocolate spread. A very distant cousin of peanut butter, suppose.

It's made out of hazelnuts instead of peanuts. It is way better than peanut butter (more expensive, too).
