Only, and I repeat ONLY, if you are eating a double-whopper with cheese, super-sized fries, AND an extra large chocolate shake at the time

Well, typically I would quickly answer as no. It's fairly common knowledge that walkng is aerobic excercise, so it's a weight loss activity only.

In theory I suppose you could temporarily gain weight if you had little to no muscle in the legs. Muscles weighs more than fat, so you might gain a tiny amount as you build some basic walking muscle if it's not already there, but that should stop fairly quickly and everything else would be loss.

Hope this helps.

No. Walking burns calories. As an exercise it is not intense enough to actually build significant levels of muscle tissue. As such you shouldn't be gaining weight from walking.

Maybe. You can gain because walking is an excersize and over time it helps build muscle and muscle adds weight. But if you are overweight you can lose weight (while on a diet) because you will lose fat.
