I think it's more bible wavers or bible shakers. really never thump the bible. more times than not they usually wave it at you or point it at you

I have never heard the term "basher" used. "Thumpers" are well meaining misguided folks who have a need to validate themselves by saving others. That is not evengelism. I don't think Christ was so pushy. He had a message, and told you the consequneces, but then left you alone if you didn't take it to heart. But he was always there if you did later...................just no too late!
