The most limiting factor on any society is the language they have developed to describe the world around them. 2000 years ago, the most advanced form of transportation known was a chariot. Being not from this Earth were angels from heaven. Today, maybe we see the same thing and call them "spaceships" and "aliens" because those are the best terms we can come up with to describe them.

Good point, but most likely the bible guys had some mushrooms that gave them "prophetic visions."

It is possible. I wasn't there so I can't really say with any certainty. However, if they did see something unusual then it is likely that they would attempt to discribe it in terms of what they already know and believe. A chariot or wagon would have been the only vehicle he had ever seen and since their chariots can't fly he probably just assumed that it must be God or God's chariot.

Actually, these angels are described as "Seraphs" and are noted in the Bible and other literature, so there is other literature that describes them, not just the Bible. Also, the Bible had no lacking to describe many things that weren't discovered up till now, but they had 3,000 years ago. Such as Hygiene laws instituted by the Israelites and only RE-INSTITUTED by American hospitals in the 1950's and 1960's.

I've always thought that this was a perfectly valid theory, especially if we take certain aspects of the bible literally.

This might even explain the garden of eden existing on another planet, the jump in intelligent human population on the earth, the ark coming from another planet after a flood, etc.

Hope this helps.

since we are "aliens and strangers in this world" ourselves I would say definitely. How do we know that the angels don't live on another planet. They obviously were given technology by God that is beyond our comprehension, so they can roam about the earth searching for people to save and protect.

It seems to be one of the best possible explanations.

No - I think "fire" may have been used to describe an extremely bright light, but it wasn't necessarily from anything you are calling "alien." We don't have enough information to say one way or the other.

Technically they wouldn't be considered as aliens that is if you plan on going to Heaven when you pass away , they would be your family
