you have just what it takes to get to Heaven, the holy Spirit was sent to help you get through this life, not make it to the next one and you received the Holy Spirit when you received Jesus's sacrifice for you. speaking in tongues is a manifestation of the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and is a prayer language He give you, so you can talk to God through him, and gives you a direct line since He is one part of the trinity of God.

God won,t ask you if you have the Holy ghost when you go to heaven, you couldn't get there without Him. The Holy Ghost's purpose is to give you power to work for the Glory of God while you are here. If you are saved you have all the Holy ghost you are ever going to get. You may be confusing having the Hpoly Ghost with be baptised in the Holy Ghost. This may come immediately after salvation or it could take awhile. The reason for wanting the baptism of the Holy Ghost is to have the power to witness for Christ. In the second chapter of acts the disciples had been baptised with the Holy Ghost and that is what gave Peter the boldness and power to stand up and preach when just 50 days earlier he denied even knowing Jesus 3 times. Hope this helps God Bless

Even if you change who you are and what you have, god knows you in your inside and will only judge your soul, so you don't need to be or have anything.....I don't think you have to believe all those things just to go to heaven, you have to REALLY believe them, and if you don't just live a fair and humble life...Everybody has their own religions and that doesn't mean the ones who believe in Jesus will go to heaven. The holy ghost it's always with you and it's the same person as god and jesus, it's all the things that make you a better person and makes you want to help and accept other humans even if you don't know them. I think god speaks every tongues and languages so you don't need that. All you need is to accept all your sins and regret them for what you have made wrong in your life, compensate them with good actions so god will forgive you and accept you in his reign

I know it seems almost too easy to accept that getting to heaven doesn't require some strenuous activity or labor on our part. All it takes is acceptance of the gift of Grace that Jesus Christ gave all of us and the repentance of our sins and understanding that without that grace we are apart from God and will go to Hell. The holy ghost is the part of God and Jesus that was left after Jesus's ascension back into heaven. Essentailly that third part of God is part of the deal so to speak when you accept Jesus as your savior. You do not need to speak tongues at all. Pretty simple really.

When you believe you have the Holy Spirit. In fact, the Holy Spirit baptizes you into the body of Christ (the church) 1 Corinthians 12: 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. The Holy Spirit seals you unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 4: 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit circumcise you by cutting away the soul from the body. Colossians 2: 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: When the Holy Spirit does all this for you, then you become the temple of God. 1 Corinthians 3: 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? Speaking in tongues has nothing to do with your salvation. Tongues were for a sign and in the age of grace we walk by faith and not by sigh. Tongues have ceased today because we have a complete Word of God where nothing can be added or taken away. 1 Corinthians 13: 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

A belief in communist heaven (everyone with the same eternally beautiful reward) and communist hell (everyone recieving the same eternal punishment and damnation) is far too simple of a concept of an afterlife developed by a loving but fair and just diety that is so advanced beyond our comprehension. The better of a person you are, the better your eternal reward will be - and hell will be knowing just how much better your eternal reward would be if you simply tried to be a better person.
But then again my personal concept of spirituality is far more open to all possibilities than most standard Christian dogma. You will find that Christian dogma has spawned so many different beliefs that it's simply best not to ask another as two Christians can believe in almost entirely different valuesets.

You must open your heart to God. His grace is a gift. You cannot earn it, just be willing to accept it. Yes, God loves you no matter what, but you have to live your live the way he asks you to and sincerely ask his forgiveness when you sin. You do feel differently after. Not like you've been struck by lightning, but you really won't miss all the things you used to do that may have been sinful. Talk to a pastor or , as I did, my priest. Good luck and God Bless You!!!!

The Holy Ghost (as referenced in Acts) gives us power ---but you do not have to speak in tongues to go to heaven. You have all the parts right --Admit your sins, Believe in Jesus that he died for your sins and was risen on the 3rd day, and Confess that he is Lord of your life. I think there will be MANY denominations in Heaven and that God's church is much bigger than the box we as a society puts him in ( such as Baptist, Methodist, Church of God, etc....)
