I would happen to agree with that statement. Particularly Sneiderweisse from Munich although there are very many different German brands to sample. But isn't it about one's personal preference? I know someone who will only drink Budweiser!

I suppose it's a matter of taste. But Hefe Weizen - what it's called in German - is so delicious you'll want to cry. It's like nectar - even people who don't like beer like wheat beer.

Try it - ice cold with a wedge of lemon at the bottom of the glass.

wheat beer is very popular in germany - some drink it with banana juice! (but lemon is good, too)
