Well, I have them too. They appear when you're actually facing tough decisions in your life. Sometimes, they come on your lower back and even on your stomach where you're button is, but they go after a while. They usually also come when you're actually growing up into a real grown lady. Don't worry, they will be gone in a few days. I had them on my legs too, and they went after a couple of days, but don't worry about it. They will eventually leave you're body.

I am 90 pounds and 5 feet tall, and I had stretch marks on my butt area. I had got them around the same age as you. I'm 25 now. It has nothing to do with you needing to exercise, it just means your body is stretching the skin a little faster than normal. It happens to the best of us all the time. Try using cocoa butter on them, make sure it is pure cocoa butter by Palmers. Put this on you everyday and it will smooth them out. You have to remember that you won't see a difference overnight. This takes time, it could take weeks or a couple of months sometimes, it all depends on the person and their skin. If you put it on everyday though you will see a difference if your persistant so be patient.

Your mom is absolutely right. Exercise and also the one thing I did was buy some Dove Intensive Firming lotion. It won't do anything for you unless you exercise too. With the 2 combined, they'll go away or at least almost disappear. Well, I've had great luck anyway.

stretch marks are not necessary related to fat people, they can appear on thin people too. it is related to the composition of your skin.
You can use special lotions and massage the places

stretch marks don't go away...you can make them fade by toning up, tanning and some creams...coco butter is what they tell pregnant chicks to use to help avoid getting them or making them worse...

hope that helps
