First off, don't buy it at walmart or bestbuy. Get it from a store that specializes in audio equipment. Most places will offer a free or cheap installation that comes with a warranty.

Yes these are compatible, since only someone with a 1996 Isuzu Hombre would buy a stereo for it at Wal-Mart.

You really should measure the original radio or the space for the radio first. I've seen vehicles with small radios, and some with larger ones. About the compatibility, you'd have to be a bit more specific about the brand of the radio, but in Best Buy and other electronics stores they sell adaptors for the wiring.

I am not sure on that car but many late model Japanese cars the wiring to the radio is part of the main harness and if installed wrong it can cause trouble. Check with a stereo shop or the dealer they can tell you if they problems.

Wouldnt that be a question for the guy who is selling you the stereo at Best Buy? Dont go to Wallyworld, most of those people probably will sell you anything not knowing if its compatible or whatever.

If you can make it fit and look good it will work you can even get wire harness adapters so you can just plug it in to the current wire configuration
