Daughter dropped camera with 3x optical lens in the sand and now the lens will not operate. Do you think it can be fixed?

Take it in for repair, after you've tried shaking or vacuuming the sand out. Any left in there will eventually wear things down.

I dont know if it can be fixed or not , but I would be pissed I can tell ya that much

lmao..yea send it to that guy up there and he will fix it and send it back free of charge..matter of fact he might even pay the shipping charges both ways.lol

The sand probably will not permanently damage it but the pictures may appear grainy until you get it fixed.

Try to vacuum it out, then send it back to the manufacturer immediately.

Take those waterproof throwaway cameras to the beach.

try taking it apart and use an air duster to get the sand out. if you cant take it apart or this dosent work then try taking it to an electronics repair store.
