i dont think they would bring out a problem, especially if your a tourist or there for job issues. i figure this because from what my parents use to tell me, that way back (im an america/equadorean) they would be extremly strict if you were an equadorean coming back from europe or the states bringing back one too many things, because it was considered kinda like 'smuggling' even though you had nothing to hide.
my dad told me a funny story, when he went to europe for a couple of weeks, my mom ofcourse wanted him to bring back nice european outfits for her 3 little daughters (me and my 2 sisters) but he was too difficult at the time to bring back TOO much stuff or else it would be considered illegal in equador, so my dad came up with an idea. after packing his lugage, he put all the gifts together in one big luggage, and stopped at a newstand, bought about 6 to 9 magazines of pure porno and placed it all scattered on the top of that luggage covering everything. when he reached 'las aduanas' in equador where they checked your passport and opened your luggage (at the time it was obliagtory, now its not). the men began to open the huge gift luggage and as soon as the zipper was opening my dad said, 'oh my god! i have completely forgotten! i cant let my wife see this!!, please here! take it! take it! (reffering to the porno mags.) the guys around it said 'oh yeah, yeah..sure ok...ok..' grabing the mags and immediatly closing the bag withough looking inside....he got away well and my sisters and i got the treats, good times...hehe..good old dad!
so anyways, today its not like that anymore, they arent as strict as before, bringing two laptops isnt such a big thing, if you have youre reasons, then its no big problem. good luck on your trip!

Depending on the airport, you may be asked to prove that your computer works. I've had to do that before!
