You mean odor?
If he is outdoors only, why does it matter? You aren't close enough to smell him.
It is next to impossible to keep an outdoor dog smelling nice. They have too much time to roll in dirt and less yummy things. Not to mention that most people don't wash the inside of their dog houses when they wash the dog, so he goes right back in to where he stank before the bath and gets smelly again.
Either bring the dog in and make him part of the family, or give him away. You obviously don't want him, so be kind, find him somewhere else to live.

Simply brushing your dog everyday will help alot!!! I have a large dog and I buy his brushes in the "horse supply" dept or store.... Large brushes and some are just like the dog brushes only cheaper.

You fix his odor like you fix all dogs. Outback with a shotgun.

dogs have doggy odor....no matter what you do....you can use...ZERO PET ODOR ON THEIR BEDDING....IN THE CRATE AREA....AND IN THE HOME.......BUT....NOT ON THE DOG ITSELF.....I JUST SHAMPOOED THREE DOGS AND LET THEM DRY THOROUGHLY......THEY STILL SMELL LIKE A DOG......THE FRESH SMELL LASTS A LITTLE WHILE AND THEN RETURNS....GOES WITH THE TERRITORY......

oatmeal shampoo is easy on their skin and works great for odors... you might also consider getting him groomed, or his hair ut, this helps also!
