this is the solution with full working. look through this and you'll know how to tackle the same kind of question later.
(x - 4) - ( x(1/6 + 1/12 + 1/7) + 5) = x/2
(x-4) - (x (14/84 + 7/84 + 12/84) +5) = x/2
(x-4) - (x(11/28) +5) = x/2
x - 4 - x(11/28) - 5 = x/2
28x - 112 - 11x - 140 = 14x
28x - 11x - 14x = 112 + 140
3x = 252
x = 252/3
x = 84

Multiply both sides by 2, then subtract x from both sides so that the equation is equal to zero. Solve from there.
