Make a drug and a 'new' condition needs it. Is this out of control ?

We have the most medicated children ever ( and anywhere ) how did we survive in 1955 ?

People in America take way way too many drugs. It's sick, I really do not believe that the majority of the people need all these drugs. Seriously. I know there are some people who have to have drugs for very serious medical reasons. But for the most part, I think most people just abuse them.

Alcohol and barbituates were the drugs of choice back then. We've just legalized a different bunch of reality escapers.
