I had the same problems, but found that my GP was excellent at dealing with these types of problems. Talk to your GP and explain the problems you're having. It will be hard, but is the first step. They can refer you to counselling sessions, which are usefgul to talk through problems, which are useful to find out where they began and to talk through the issues. I know that it can be more difficult for men than women to face up to problems, but it is your first port of call. Good luck.

Depending on how bad things get, you may need to ditch the whole dignity thing. If things get really out of congrol, drop onto the ground in a fetal position and start moaning. If you still feel threatened, try to vomit or, at the very least urinate on yourself. That should 1)keep the boogy men at bay, 2)get you a free ride in a squad car and 3)maybe even a psychological evaluation at your neighborhood E.R.

I know its probably the same old answer, but truly, go to the doctors first. It sounds like you could do with seeing a counsellor who will really help you to put things into perspective. Secondly, I cannot recomment Yoga enough. It is fantastic for relaxation and the effects I've found are long lasting. I'm sure it will help you. Good luck

first of all, no offence, but no one on the bus, or train or plane, or in the shops are interested in you. They do not know what you feel inside. They have feelings you do not know. Panic is wonderful. Ride it. Stop bieng so self obsessed, and forget about the other people. They do not know you. You have got to look somewhere, stop bieng paranoid. It is normal Everyone feels the same....talk to them. open up,. You have dignity only when you earn it and being scared and paranoid does not give you any....the wall must come down, and you must take it slow, and bit by bit. My son is 29, he is not frightened of anything. He is like me. I am only scared of ignorance, but as the legendary Jane Ayer said, the only thing I have to fear is myself. xxxx

You sound as if you have some kind of persecution complex.
Please do yourself a favour and get some help. A kind therapist will help you deal with your anger and problems before they get out of hand.
On Monday, ask your doctor to recommend you to a psychologist or behavioural therapist. You can feel a lot better if you seek help.
Good Luck.

You could try something like yoga, where the focus is on breathing correctly for relaxation. Try that when you start to feel angry, it's incredibly calming.

Have you sought any professional help? If not maybe try that - there's no shame in it.

sounds like social anxiety disorder. And, its a mental health issue. No your not going crazy, in fact it is VERY COMMON. Let me ask you something. How many times in you life have you been attacked by a stranger in public? How many times have you been threatened in public? Probably never, so your fear is IRRATIONAL. Your paralizing your life on a false, irrational belief.
