I see it as someone who doesn't want to put alot out for a puppy/dog to start with.

I asked this question because people are always asking where they could find a "cheap or free " puppy.

as for SANDY H, I was referring to those who ask for a cheap or free puppy.

I also have pets. Therefore I have money invested in my pets.

I am also a breeder. I have actually had people ask me if I would take less for my pups because they can't really afford to pay that much. IF they can't afford the purchase of the pup, how are they going to afford the care of the pup.

I see someone who probably shouldn't own a dog. Their major concern should not be how cheap the dog is but rather is it healthy. The also won't be the type to take their dog to the vet when it needs to go because they won't want to be inconvenienced with paying the bills.

I would say that I see it as either thats the going price for the breed but if its a expensive breed n there selling it for cheap it maybe sick there for u may want to see what type of garuntee they have ect......but free could just be that they want to find it a good home because some people that can give a dog a good home cant afford the hundreds of dollars up front but they can afford to buy the dog food ect.. because there little amounts

Well... I have personally never seen "Cheap or free puppy". But... just taking one glance at the newspaper I see "Cheap and free kittens/cats" all over the classifieds... why is that? I assume the reason for the puppy would probably be the same as the cat.

Some people completely over charge for puppies. $1000 for a puppy is intirely to much, then again if you can afford it whatever. But why pay so much when you can get one for free or cheaper, that is what you call baargain shopping, it's what us cheap people do.

There is no such thing as a free puppy, puppies require shots, and food and loving care. Some of the best dogs can be muts

I see it as someone who just wants to get rid of it, and doesnt care if a dog-fighting ring gets it and kills it.
And if it's someone wanting a C or F pup, then they're too cheap to take care of it properly, I'm sure.

I think that is someone who never cared for the parents of the puppies, much less the puppies. I breed bulldogs and spend thousands of dollars just to have a litter. They just want to get rid of them.

I see it as someone who should go to the pound and save a life, so that their puppy will be followed for the first year of their life, and they can be interviewed to make sure they'll have the financial means to take care of it.

If you have to ask that kind of question then you do not need a pet. They are a big expenses and time consuming. Even if it is free there is still the vet bills and the grooming, food, toys and things like that.

when I see the words "CHEAP & FREE" what comes to mind is someone getting that pup and using it for pitbull bait, and or snake food. Trust me on this I have been rescuing animals for over 25 years, and you would not believe the things I've seen.
